Tom Tripp today announces the release of a first solo EP, "RED" on his label Prime Sound.
The EP features his two previous singles Aurelia and Pamela plus 4 new tracks; BTF, So Shy (as with Pamela, co-written with Liss), One Day and focus track Stand.
The release comes 5 days before Tom's sold out debut live show at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen and marks the latest milestone in an exciting year for Tom.
Having only uploaded his first song as a singer (Aurelia) in January it has been a life-changing 10 months for the 22 year old from Caledonian Road. After a few weeks on Soundcloud, Aurelia was picked up by Nao for a full release on her Little Tokyo Recordings and has since had 20 plays on Radio 1 and two million streams on Spotify/Apple.
This summer, Tom then appeared as a relatively unknown guest on Mura Masa's album alongside A$AP Rocky, A. K. Paul, Damon Albarn and Christine & The Queens. His first ever live performance -- and his first trip to the US -- was for Mura Masa's Coachella set in front of 10,000 fans.
Throughout the growing hype, Tom has remained a somewhat reclusive presence on social media and has bided his time before playing a first show. Self-taught as a musician and producer, he has been making beats since the age of 12 and has learned that patience pays off.
Tom is enormously proud to present his first collection of songs to the world but, in his own words, "I'm just getting started."
