After making Nashville, TN home, Alternative Rock band Elliot Root made fast work of gaining attention locally and nationally with a pair of EP’s, 2015’s - 2 and Thoughts From Yesterday. With support from famed Nashville radio station Lightning 100.1 FM and a Spotify viral hit in “Punks and Poets” the band set the stage for a highly anticipated debut LP.

Released independently on August 25th, 2017 via partnership with Thirty Tigers and Sony/ATV, Conjure offers listeners a better understanding of Elliot Root’s sonic vision. Self produced and recorded by the band at Nashville’s Blackbird Studios, Conjure stretches out over 13 tracks, led by stadium ready hooks but rooted in the search for a deeper connection.

“Conjure is an experiment in honesty”, said frontman Scott Krueger. “We wanted to focus on letting ourselves explore new sonic pathways, we didn’t feel like we had to subscribe to any predetermined notions of what we should sound like as a band. We wanted the album to feel like it had a storyline, an ebb and flow. It’s my view of the human condition. The big moments alongside the moments in which we feel small, the light contrasted with the dark”.

From lead single “10,000”, an infectious hook on modern anxiety. To current single “Wicked Lies”, an urgent plea for clarity in a relationship or possibly society as a whole, Conjure shows off it’s mainstream accessibility without sacrificing it’s emotional depth.

“Conjure may very well give Elliot Root a bona fide breakthrough, but the band’s intent focus on creating expressive music that reflects its members with uncompromising honesty is undoubtedly what will steer them there.” -Albumism

Where Conjure has a calculated and layered existence on album, it finds a more urgent and rock tinged aesthetic in the live setting. In just a short time Elliot Root has acquired an impressive tour resume, supporting Zac Brown Band, Neon Trees, Michael Franti & Spearhead, X Ambassadors, Needtobreathe, Moon Taxi, Lord Huron and more. The latter half of 2017 saw the band embark on the first leg of the album denominated “Conjure Tour” with dates set to continue in 2018.
