For the first time in seven years, Chris Isaak is releasing a new album on the Warner Brothers label. Last Friday night Chris performed on the Tonight Show, this week he will perform on the Today Show, and yesterday his weekly show premiered on the A&E Bio Channel. The show, The Chris Isaak Hour, highlights one musical guest each week with an interview, their performance, and a song with Chris at the end of the hour. Guests include: Cat Stevens, Glen Campbell, Stevie Nicks, The Smashing Pumpkins, Trisha Yearwood (her duo with Chris is one of the highlights of the album), Michael Buble, and Chicago. Chris will begin touring this summer and continue through the end of the year.

The following is Liz Rosenberg's press release:

Getting lucky has rarely sounded so good on Grammy winning singer-songwriter Chris Isaak's highly anticipated new CD "Mr. Lucky," out in stores on February 24th on Reprise Records. Mr. Lucky features 14 tracks filled with the glorious, the ugly and the bad of romantic love. But in this case, bad never sounded so good. From the killer opener, the wonderfully tortured "Cheaters Town" to the concluding and uplifting "Big Wide Wonderful World," Isaak takes his fans on a roller coaster ride on one of his favorite subjects, LOVE.

Isaak, who has an abiding respect for popular music's past with personal heroes like Roy Orbison and Buck Owens, has a clear and vital passion for the here and now - especially on Mr. Lucky. Produced by Eric Rosse, John Shanks and Mark Needham with guest appearances by Trisha Yearwood and Michelle Branch, Mr. Lucky reaffirms Isaak's passion for the music he writes and the commitment to the songs he sings. The CD's first single, "We Let Her Down" has already taken off at radio. "I've been with most of my band (Silvertone) for 25 years now. We never get tired of playing together" commented Isaak. "The truth is anyone who gets to do what I do for a living... well, I really am one of the luckier guys on earth."
