TOBY KEITH'S "SHE NEVER CRIED" MARKS CAREER MILESTONE

First Single From Upcoming Album, That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy, Is 35th Top 10

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Singer, songwriter and entertainer Toby Keith's list of career accomplishments is longer than he might ever have imagined, and this week it grows by one more notch. "She Never Cried In Front Of Me," his latest single, cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard/R&R chart, joining 34 previous Keith releases to crest that significant airplay level.

In reaching Top 10, "She Never Cried..." put Keith at No. 5 on the ranking of artists of all genres of music whose songs have reached the milestone since the 1990 advent of BDS as Billboard's airplay monitoring system. Amazingly, Top 10 is probably only the beginning for this fast moving song.

As the lead single from Keith's upcoming studio album That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy, "She Never Cried..." has undeniable momentum that could carry it to the upper reaches of the chart before the album's Oct. 28 street date. With that much calendar left to burn, it's conceivable Toby will rack up Top 10 No. 36 before 2008 draws to a close.

Not that Keith's year hasn't been active enough. There's the well-received, theater-packing success of his second feature film Beer For My Horses. Then there's the chart topping album release Toby Keith's 35 Biggest Hits. His Biggest & Baddest Tour has also played to packed houses coast to coast.
