Hit Men All-Stars - A biography

Curly Smith was a member of the legendary rock band
Boston, whose first album sold over twenty-five million
copies, garnering the elusive and much coveted Diamond
award. Before joining Boston, Curly earned numerous gold
and platinum records performing on number one singles
such as "Missing You" with John Waite, "I Get Weak" with
Belinda Carlisle and "Heartbeat" with Don Johnson. He has
worked side by side with such legendary artists as Jeff Beck,
Rod Stewart, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Branford
Marsalis, Ron Wood of The Rolling Stones and The Who's
Keith Moon. Curly played "Live Aid" with Rick Springfield as
two billion people watched. A world-renowned drummer
and singer, Curly is a master showman and veteran of sold
out tours the world over.
Billy Burnette of Fleetwood Mac fame is the epitome of a
rock star. Born in Memphis, singer/songwriter/guitarist, he
spent most of his youth in the presence of father Dorsey and
uncle Johnny (of the legendary Rock and Roll Trio) who are
credited with making the Rockabilly name famous. The Trio
spent many evenings jamming with Elvis. In his early 20’s,
Billy played guitar for Roger Miller and his father. Shortly
after signing on with Columbia Records, he met Mick
Fleetwood and joined Fleetwood Mac, touring with them
from 1987-1995. He appears on such records as “The Chain”,
“Fleetwood Mac/Greatest Hits”, and “The Very Best of
Fleetwood Mac”. Billy has also played with Bob Dylan as
well as Creedence Clearwater Revival lead man, John
Fogerty.
Jack Sonni had a real Hollywood moment when he was
working at a guitar shop and renowned guitarist/singersongwriter
Mark Knopfler asked him to join Dire Straits. As
a member of Dire Straits, Jack recorded the multi-platinum,
Grammy-winning album “Brothers In Arms,” and played on a
record breaking 256-show world tour. His career includes
studio sessions and live performances with Pete Townshend,
Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Sting, Madonna,
and others. He is renowned for his high-energy stage
presence and unique look.
Jimmy Crespo is most recognized as the lead guitarist and
co-writer of Aerosmith from 1979 – 1984 after the departure
of Joe Perry. Jimmy formed a writing partnership with
Steven Tyler during his years with the band, co-writing and
producing the “Rock In A Hard Place” album. After his work
with Aerosmith, he toured for several years as lead guitarist
for Rod Stewart. He has also recorded or performed with
major acts such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Beck, Billy Squire,
Stevie Nicks, Bon Jovi, and others. Steven Tyler says,
“Jimmy is one of the best guitarists I’ve ever known.”
Steve Augeri is an American rock singer best known as the
lead vocalist for Journey from 1998-2006. He recorded 3
albums with the band and toured the world performing in
front of millions of fans. Previous to his work with Journey,
he was a part of Tall Stories and Tyketto. Augeri was given
his first break in 1984 when he was hired as background
vocalist for Michael Schenker of UFO and Scorpions fame.
Gary Moon is a talented bassist and singer who has played
with Night Ranger and Three Dog Night. Before joining
Night Ranger, he was in a band called The Pack with Steve
Isham of Autograph, Matt Sorum of Guns 'N Roses, The Cult
and Velvet Revolver, Curly Smith of Jo Jo Gunne and
Boston, and Pete Comita of Cheap Trick. He is currently
recording a solo album named "Thousand Bridges." In
addition to pursing a solo career, he has toured extensively
with members of major label bands.
