May 29, 2013 -- "Boomerang," the first single from artist Lucy Schwartz's highly anticipated album "Timekeeper," is available for streaming on YouTube at http://bit.ly/1aznRJt. The song recently premiered on Entertainment Weekly's website at http://bit.ly/15g4fJb and is featured as the last song in the final episode of the new season of "Arrested Development," which premiered Sunday on Netflix. Mitch Hurwitz, the show's creator, declares "Lucy's latest album is her Sgt. Pepper. Unbelievable. I can't stop playing it or thinking about it. So brilliant and amazing." Lucy also makes an appearance in the show alongside Michael Cera. "Boomerang" is available for download on iTunes at http://bit.ly/1adIdHW, along with a second song, "Time Will Tell." Los Angeles-based Lucy Schwartz co-produced "Timekeeper" with producer d.Fly, except the song "Boomerang" which was produced by Matt Hales (aka Aqualung, who also collaborated with Lucy on the duet "Cold" for the "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1" soundtrack). All songs were mixed by Shawn Everett (Sara Watkins, Weezer) at Zeitgeist Studios, and the record was mastered by Bob Ludwig (Wilco, Bruce Springsteen, The Who). Lucy describes "Timekeeper" as a very visual project. "My dream is for this record to open up the listener's imagination. I want to use visuals to really create a tangible world for each song. I want people not only to hear the music and feel the music, but to see the music." Accordingly, Lucy has been teaming up with an array of visual artists to create the fantasy world of "Timekeeper," including renowned photographer Tierney Gearon, with whom she created the dynamic monkey photographs that adorn the single's cover.
23 year-old Lucy has performed on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and opened up for artists including The Civil Wars, Moby, A Fine Frenzy, and Tom Odell. She has also shared the stage with Elton John (The Yamaha 125th Anniversary) as well as Sarah McLachlan and Sheryl Crow (Lilith Fair). Additionally, Lucy has written original songs for "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1," "Shrek Forever After," "Mother & Child," "Post Grad" and "The Women." She also wrote the international theme song for the TV show "Parenthood," and currently, her song "Feeling of Being" is featured as the end credit in the critically-acclaimed film, "What Maisie Knew" (in theaters now).
